OurGateshead web site

What is OurGateshead.org?

A web site that aims to list all community groups in Gateshead.

Why should groups put their information on OurGateshead?

Community groups and organisations are able to:

  • Tell people what they are doing
  • Show what they have achieved – through news stories
  • Advertise meetings and events

What can groups put onto their pages?

 Groups can put on:

  • An introduction to the group – what is does, who is involved.
  • News Stories about their group
  • Meetings and events
  • Pictures/photos
  • Videos

Who can use the site?

  •  Anyone with internet access can look at the site and find out what is happening in their area.
  •  Any group or organisation working in Gateshead can have free web space on the site.

Who keeps the information up to date?

Each group looks after their own pages.  Gateshead Community Network will provide all the training and help you need to do this.

How much training is involved?

The training that is given to each group will depend on their skills – if you have some computer skills it will be quicker. However if you need help getting the computer skills, we will help with that.

Where is the training held?

Training can be held in your centre/meeting place or can be arranged in any Gateshead library.
