Area Forums

Gateshead Council's next challenge is to work more closely with neighbourhoods so that local people and communities have more influence over services they receive and more opportunities to tell the council what they want.  In attendance at these meeting are council members, partners such as Police, Health Authority plus members of the voluntary sector which include representatives from the Network and GVOC.  Local people can attend these meetings.

The meetings will be held every 6 weeks, one in each of the 5 areas of the borough, they will be held in various venues within the areas and will begin at 4pm.

All representatives receive appropriate training and will be expected to report back on any issues raised on behalf of the Network at Network meetings.   Members of the staff team will also be at the meetings for support.
