Consultations
The project are currently working on consultations on behalf of the Network for:
- Northumbria Police - The project helped to carry out a survey in the Portmeads/Kateregina area of Birtley. As a result of the survey the Police have put measures in place to tackle some of the issues raised. The team are currently carrying out a further survey to monitor the effect of the changes. Discussions are under way to identify other neighbourhoods in the 4 areas to conduct similar surveys.
- Gateshead Central Library - The Library rebuild funded by the Big Lottery has its business plan/community engagement plan and capital project delivery plan approved. The next stage will be to develop a community development plan. We continue to be involved and will keep you updated
- Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service - We are currently helping to set up "Friends of" more information will be added soon.
- Gateshead Primary Care Trust - We are currently carrying out a consultation with the Health Trainers to look at why the life expectancy of people in the Bensham area is 10 years younger than people in other areas of the borough. A reort will be produced and made available to our members.
