The project are currently working on consultations on behalf of the Network for:

  • Northumbria Police - The project are currently undertaking consultation Operation Ways which is a more intense programme of questionnaires. Each of the 5 areas will have 5 Operation Ways as a rolling programme this piece of work will continue until July 2010. If you have any questions/queries please give Julie a call. We are also out and about in Dunston, Swalwell, Blaydon and Sunniside to collect your views on the changes which could take place at Whickham Police Station.  The changes will mean that this station will have to reduce its opening times.  We would like to capture any concerns you may have on how this will have an impact on you and you area.  We are also helping Northumbria Police set up a pilot Police Cadet Scheme and our Partnership Officer has recently visited a similar scheme in Cleveland to see how successful this has been.  The scheme will be piloted in Gateshead before being rolled out Forcewide.
  • Gateshead Central Library -  We are working in partnership with Gateshead Libraries Arts Service by conducting consultations within 5 branch libraries in Gateshead which are ( Birtley, Wrekenton, Chopwell, Pelaw, and Blaydon.)
  • Gateshead Council - The project and GSP partners have recently conducted a re-survey in relation to the achievements of Vision 2030 targets. Staff and partners collected views from across the whole borough.
  • Gateshead PCT -   
  • We have also been asked to consult with local people around the prospective move of Bensham Walk In from Bensham area to the centre of Gateshead. Staff are currently talking to voluntary and community groups in these 3 areas, South,  East and Central. If you would like to register your opinion please give us a call.
